This journal will be friends-locked. No two ways about it, unfortunately. So if I know you, please drop me a line or comment on the public entry and I will add you.
Some people I have friended I do not know in real life. I look forward to getting to know you better in the future.
I have been reading other people's LJs for years now. I think that it is high time that I started posting in my own.
I use LJ to keep track of local friends I don't see much, long distance friends, and folks that I know through my convention-running circles. This includes fellow convention-runners, other SMOFs and various genre artists and authors. Most of the folks in the last few categories I have friended so that I can regularly read their journals. I expect that most of the authors and artists will not be interested in the day to day issues in my personal life. This journal will focus on my personal life. As a policy, I do not air the dirty laundry of the various convention committees in public.
That being said, there are parts of my life that I am willing to share, but not with the world at-large. No apologies. No regrets.
